Empower Youth Zones is the charity that oversees the creation, management and sustainability of Youth Zones in Manchester and Salford. These include HideOut Youth Zone located in Gorton, East Manchester which opened in 2020 and SYZ which opened in July 2025.

JOANNE WHITTAKER

CHAIR

Joanne is the Founder and Director of Fideliti Childcare Vouchers, Angel Advance and Workplace Finance. Joanne has a keen interest in creating opportunities for young people and looks forward to leading the Youth Zone to success for the benefit of the community in East Manchester. Joanne has been working with Fred Done for almost 20 years and is delighted to be involved in this exciting new project which Fred has made such a generous donation to.
