Easter Holiday Club at Empower!

Earlier this month, we held our Easter Holiday Club at HideOut and Salford Youth Zone, welcoming members for a week of themed festive activities across the holiday period.

The club offered a jam-packed, vibrant programme of activities, from high-energy bunny hop races to creative egg painting sessions, keeping young people active, engaged and inspired throughout the holidays.

Amongst the highlights were several standout sessions delivered by our corporate volunteers. In Salford Youth Zone, young people worked alongside Bruntwood for their ‘Town Takeover’ activity, working together to plan, design and budget their own city and how it would operate.

Muse and Solid Ground similarly engaged young people in shaping ideas for their upcoming Crescent development, demonstrating our shared commitment to incorporating youth voice into the city’s future. Workshops were also held with Planit.ie, drawing up plans for the Youth Zone’s Sensory Garden and how to make it a welcoming, inclusive space.

Our incredible network of donors also provided over 500 Easter Eggs during this week for our young people, ensuring all who attended the Club were able to leave with a treat.

As a parent of a young person attending the Club shared: “Every child at this Holiday Club is well looked after in a very safe environment. The range of facilities keep the children involved all the time they are there, so they are never bored. The staff are amazing – very kind and caring.”

Our next Junior Holiday Club will run from Monday 25th May to Friday 29th May. Find out more about our Holiday Club offer here.
